Score a candidate workflow before you invest. The goal is not to find the flashiest AI idea—it is to identify a use case with enough value, repeatability, data readiness, control, and adoption potential to succeed.
Rate each dimension from 1–5.
Be specific. This title appears throughout your PDF assessment.
Would improving this workflow materially reduce delay, cost, risk, or friction?
Does the work follow a recognizable pattern often enough to justify system design?
Are the policies, documents, examples, and structured data needed by the workflow available and trustworthy?
Can the workflow access the systems and APIs it needs without excessive complexity?
Can permissions, human review, auditability, and failure handling be designed clearly?
Will the people doing the work trust the experience enough to use it consistently?
Look for any dimension scoring 1–2. A single weak foundation can sink an otherwise attractive AI use case.
Do not average away a critical weakness.
A use case with great business value but poor authorization, unreliable source data, or no realistic adoption path is not “3.8 out of 5.” It is a workflow with a blocking dependency. Use the scorecard to find that dependency early.
